Yggdrasill, or the tree of life is an immense tree that is in the centre of Azgard that stretches throughout the nine worlds and extends into the heavens. The are three roots of Yggdrasill, the first in Azgard, the second in Jotunheim (the land of the giants) and the third in Niflheim.

This hand made large hair pin is made up of a metal loop where wire strands have been hand twisted to form the tree of life, and the branches have been threaded through stone beads which make the leaves.

The stones are turquoise. Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection.For thousands of years, Turquoise has spanned all cultures, prized as a symbol of wisdom, nobility and the power of immortality
