For the Vikings, arm rings were not merely ornamental. They were often used to cement bonds of loyalty between a lord and his warriors in a society where men lived and died by their honor. They were often bestowed upon young adult males to symbolize their coming of age. In addition, some groups used the rings—which were made of precious metals—as a form of, easily transportable (and protectable) currency, in a time before coins or paper money.
This Viking arm ring has beautiful slightly reflective brown beads set on the ends with beautiful design on the edges of the setting, connected by a twisted spiral of metal. Our small arm rings are thinner and lighter than our Large arm rings, but will happily fit on most wrists.
This bracelet is adjustable and will fit most wrists, but bending it repeatedly can weaken the metal. It is recommended to only bend it one time to adjust the fit. This is a small arm ring as mentioned in the title - please note it is therefore not suitable for large wrists.
