Thor's Hammer, also known as Mjölnir is the legendary and fearsome weapon of Thor the Norse god of thunder and lightening, and the protector of mankind. The hammer was made by the Dwarven brothers Eitri and Brokkr.
This wide black leather cuff had a handmade Mjolnir hand stitched into it made in the Oseberg style featuring white hand stitched detailing.
The Oseberg style lasted most of the 9th century and appears in some Viking religious iconography. Its main feature is the gripping beast motif and sinuous animal forms. Paws grip borders, the neck of the creature, other creatures or other parts of its body. The gripping beast must have echoed something in the culture of Viking art as it stood fast for a good 150 years.
It is adjustable and fastens with a buckle for the perfect fit. Fits most wrists due to the adjustable strap.
