Skane Thor's Hammer Carved Horn
Hand carved to showcase a Skåne inspired Thor's Hammer, this light brow, cream and white horn features a knotwork band at the top with a partial band of the same knotwork separating the end of the horn which has been carved into a spiral motif. The back of the horn has been carved into a chevron detail keeping the design connected arround the horn.
One of the best known items from the Viking Age is the Thor's Hammer (Mjölnir in Old Norse). The Thor's Hammer was worn by pagans who followed the Norse Gods and in particular, Thor. The Thor's Hammer was a magical weapon carried by the God and made by dwarves. It had many powers and the image of the hammer was usually worn by Heathens, one of the most famous and instantly recognisable Hammers is the archaeological example from Skåne in Sweden.
You'll receive the horn in the images. Each carved horn is unique and is individually photographed. You won't receive a similar horn carved in the same way, you'll be receiving the one you see in the images.

Horns are by-products of the meat industry. Our horns are salvaged from this so instead of going to waste, they are cleaned, reconditioned and turned into a beautiful vessel to start a new life. Each is handmade and unique. All our horns are cleaned, sculpted and polished by our craftsman to a beautiful finish and are safe to drink from.
Please note, due to reflections, the horn appears to be lighter in the images than in real life.
